Rice Hall James is an independent, investment management firm established in 1974 and headquartered in San Diego, California. We currently manage $1.9 billion in assets for a diverse client base, including corporations, Taft-Hartley plans, public funds, foundations, endowments and financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals. The RHJ Funds, make our investment services available to individual investors through financial advisors, reflecting our belief that investors can benefit from the advice and guidance of a professional.

We focus exclusively on high-value-added investment strategies that benefit from our original research. We are a growth-at-a-reasonable-price (GARP) manager with a keen focus on the “sweet spot” of the U.S. equity markets: reasonably priced, less visible companies with unique business concepts or niche products that are ripe for growth.

Our investment advisory services embrace a fundamentally driven, bottom-up research approach. It’s the way we’ve always managed money. We’re inspired by the search for unrecognized or undervalued growth stocks.
